Glam it up Girl!
I don’t know about you but…I remember my mom getting all dolled up to leave the house, even if it was just to go to the grocery store. She never drove without her driving gloves, she never wore anything but high heels in public, and she never left the house without her bright red lipstick that made her skin look porcelain white. Things have changed now and instead of high heels I sport cowboy boots, instead of red lipstick I wear shiny lip-gloss, and driving gloves, I’m not sure they even exist in Colorado anymore.
I’m not out to dress like my mother did, I’m more of a jeans and t-shirt kind of girl, however, she did have one thing right.
She never shorted herself when it came to looking like a movie star. She could have given Rosemary Clooney a run for her money any day of the week. She understood the value of the little details that make every woman feel like a knockout. The jewelry, the cute jackets, the perfect boots, the rock star jeans, and the “made for me” belt may seem silly to someone else but it’s far from it.
It’s okay to be glamorous, it’s not a waste of time, it’s not superficial, it’s a simple pleasure that makes us ladies feel like a million bucks and that is never too much to ask for!
